With Mother Nature beginning to give us warmer days and lots of budding flowers and trees, I've tried to get out and walk a bit to find some fun treasures. I was out this weekend on a trail, hunting down something I saw from the road and wanted to get closer to it to explore and take some photographs.  I did find it, and it was colorful and cool, but it's the walk to get there that while wet and muddy, led me to some beautiful sights.  The trees were filled with Blue Jays, red-headed woodpeckers. The air was filled with dragonflies and butterflies. On the ground, we came across about eight deer grazing and just sat and watched them. Sometimes you have to just watch, and not photograph to take in the sights.  But when we came across the out building with colorful graffiti, which is what I was in search of, I happened to look up to find a hawk just watching intently, waiting on his lunch somewhere in that field. We were just hoping it wasn't us!  :). But, he stayed there, watching...well, and posing for me and my camera.  Even let me get right under him to take a photo, never taking his eyes of of me. That led to this cool photo. Look at those eyes! Those claws!  I'm glad I'm too big to be his lunch.   A Watchful Eye
